LeGrand Renard [Werner Baumgarten] was born on 17.09.1984 in Zerbst, thats a small town in the middle of Germany. He had a good childhood and enjoyed fishing. He attended high school and got an Abitur, and now he is currently studying physics in the 4th year. Werner's musical carreer is a bit different! He was slipped into Dance / Trance music with Dune early on and then in 1999 with Paul van Dyk, ATB & Co., it was big time for trance! He first listened to it and had some pretty bad projects when he was 16. Werner and a friend produced some music, but it wasn't a very good start! As time passed he was mainly interested in mixing music with computer programs (ableton, mixmeister) and "mixed" some sets for himself and friends, and he got involved in his music.

For several years now he has a regular Radio Show on a station called totaal.fm (Afternoon Trance Delight), and a monthly show on afterhours.fm in collaberation with Xi'Jaro (Within the Realm Of). 

Xi'Jaro is from the Netherlands and inspired Werner to become more professional. He had some good times doing Guest Mixes for his show. Finally, they managed their first fat mashup together, which will soon be heard in his show.

Werner plans to become a producer and work more with Xi'Jaro, who he regards as a father figure when it comes to music.

His musical favorites are Gabriel & Dresden, Armin van Buuren, Dj Tiesto, Above & Beyond, John Huijbers, and ATB. He loves progressive music too and some harder Trance (Hennes & Cold, Dumonde, Cosmic Gate).
