Simon J started his production career in the dance / trance industry in 2011 with the song ‘Morning Sunlight feat. Debbie’ signed digitally on Freefall Recordings. This immediately captured the attention of big established labels and artists like; Artento Divini, Ernesto vs Bastian and many others. During this period, ‘The Madison’, a big producer from the Ukraine offered him an opportunity to produce a new track using the fantastic voice of Aelyn, the track was called ‘Angel’. The song was immediately signed by Enhanced recordings, one of the biggest trance labels active today. The track was also released with a stunning remix by Willem de Roo, (a young talented Dutch guy), the track became a real ‘bomb’ in a very short time, reaching top 20 on Beatport, and getting support from such great artists as; Armin Van Buuren, Myon & Shane54, Will Holland, Kyau & Albert, Stoneface & Terminal, Andy Duguid, Matt Darey, Oliver Smith, Judge Jules, Tritonal, Adam Nickey, Paul Vinitsky, Faruk Sabanci & more. 

The track also received a major review by ‘DJ Mag’ getting voted of 8.5 out of 10. At the same time, Simon J worked on another song, called ‘Way Back Home’ with Simon Binkenborn, one of the greatest female voices in the world. He decided to release it on his own label; ‘Leaven Recordings’, founded in March 2011. It included two fantastic remixes; one from B-Fairy (another young talent from Ukraine), and Ken Loi, an amazing artist from the USA, who became famous recently for his banging tracks and his constant support from DJ Tiesto. The release got incredible support, (although the label was still new) from artists like: Paul van Dyk, Pedro del Mar, Markus Schulz, Dash Berlin, and more. It was Pedro del Mar, who decided to license the song for his compilation ‘Mellomania 21’, released on Blackhole Recordings, and then to release it again on his own label Shah Music.

The project that followed was another beautiful collaboration with Madison called ‘Follow-up’, because like the track ‘Angel’, it was signed on Enhanced Recordings and it was included on The Madison EP (Tonight). This also achieved a resounding success and massive support from many artists; Above & Beyond, DJ Feel, Jon O` Bir, Will Holland, Andy Duguid, Max Graham, Nic Chagall, Cosmic Gate, Lange & more. ‘Follow Up’ was also included on various compilations, entered the Beatport top trance chart, and was also reviewed by DJ Mag with a great 9 out of 10!

Recently Simon J has signed 2 new tracks and one remix to the label Infrasonic Recordings. First one was a single with the heavenly voice of Antonia Lucas, titled ‘Higher Than The Sun’, with an incredible remix by Andy Duguid. Second was a single titled ‘Life Thru A Lens’. He also signed a track titled ‘Promise’, in collaboration with 3PM, on the new label run by Pedro del Mar, which will be called Delmar Recordings, distributed by Blackhole Recordings.
Alongside of his career as a producer, Simon J is also an enthusiastic DJ, through his radio show ‘Leaven Broadcast’, where each week he offers a fine selection of fresh tracks and forthcoming releases, plus exclusive previews from the biggest EDM labels. This is aired on FM stations in Italy, on one of the largest stations, Radio Millennium, it has millions of listeners each week, and on various internet stations.
