|Written by Dimitri Kechagias|
Nature One 2014, The Golden Twenty was held from 1st to 3rd of August at the Raketenbasis Pydna, near Kastellaun in Germany.Twenty magnificent years with the finest DJs playing at the various high-tech stages, and famous clubs spread around the ex-military base that became a symbol of hatred and pain into a symbol of love, peace, happiness and unity. Electronic Dance Music becomes the bond that binds together festival visitors from all around the world. Those who visit Germany specifically to experience the positive vibes and the spiritual atmosphere of the biggest festival in the country, agree that they must visit Nature One at least once in their lifetimes.
One of the coolest and mostly crowded floors at the Nature One grounds was the 'Heavens Gate' arena, with a fantastic line up for both Friday and Saturday. This included Groove Phenomenon, Extravagance SL, Fisherman & Hawkins, James Dymond, Ben Nicky, Maarten de Jong and the brilliant Chris Bekker, who rocked it with his well-planned DJ set which the crowd tottaly adored every single minute of.
I requested an interview with Chris and I'm glad he accepted the challenge to reply to my questions. I hope they are questions that you might have in your mind that you might have wanted to ask him too. First of all, he talks about his DJ set on the Heavens Gate floor. I asked him about his previous releases on other labels before his top tracks on VANDIT records. We discuss his magnificent tune 'Telling Tales' with Chris Montana, and his latest track 'Invader' on VANDIT and he reveals the details about his collaboration with Paul van Dyk which will be out very soon on VANDIT. Next he talks about his recent gig at the 'Street Parade' in Zurich with Paul van Dyk, and his appearance at the 'We Are One' festival in Berlin. Furthermore, he offers us his warm-hearted opinion about Woody van Eyeden, and what he achieved with his Heavens Gate concept. Lastly, we discuss the always-hot issue of illegal downloading of tracks, even by his fellow DJs. It is definitely a very informative interview and I highly recommend you watch it!
Thanks very much to Chris Bekker for his time to record this interview
