|Video Interview: DJ Falk at Nature One 2014|
|Written by Dimitri Kechagias|
Nature One 2014, The Golden Twenty was a massive success with 72,000 visitors from Germany and many other countries around the world. The most famous and respected electronic dance music festival in Germany was bigger and better than any other year, with four huge stages and state-of-the-art high-tech design, mind-blowing visuals, and colourful lazer effects. The Open Air stage had the biggest names at the moment, Golden Twenty Floor had exactly the same line up as the first ever Nature One, Century Circus with the magnificent Carl Cox, the always-incredible Sven Vath, and the fantastic Chris Liebing amongst others.
Lastly, House of House stage was dedicated to House music with a giant disco ball in the centre. We saw DJ sets from the most respected names of the moment like Robin Schulz Live, Moonbootica, Faul & Wad Ad, Butch and many more. All around Raketenbasis Pydna, various well-known clubs in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands organised their own smaller stages like the Hexenhouse/Heaven Hill that DJ Falk played at and totally smashed it in a packed arena, as you can see in the picture. The interest from the German and international media in the festival is noteworthy, with the national radio station ‘Dasding’ broadcasting extensive DJ sets and doing interviews. Sunshine Live, the most successful electronic dance music radio station in Germany broadcast 10 hours non-stop each day of the festival with DJ sets and interviews.
The heart and soul of Sunshine Live is DJ Falk as he is also the DJ and producer part of the big ‘Tiger Records’ family. I sought an interview with DJ Falk and I'm happy that between interviews with the DJ’s at the festival, he found some time to record this with me.
Firstly, I asked him about the coverage of Nature One by Sunshine Live and how he treats the interviews with the DJ’s. He tells us about his warm-up set for the spectacular Schiller show in Frankfurt, and how unforgettable it was. Then he talks about his productions at Tiger Records, and he reveals the forthcoming releases under his ‘DJ Falk’ moniker and his SodaFreak alter ego. I asked him about his relationship with Tiger records and the friendship with its owner.
Thanks so much to DJ Falk for finding the time to record this interview
Many thanks to Gottfried Engels at Tiger records for arranging the interview
