For 5 days, the city of Amsterdam was the main stage for the most healthy, prosperous and creative industry in the world. EDM from the peripherals of the music industry during the past year became the focus point, as more mainstream pop or even rock artists craved for at least one dance remix of their latest track, in order to get the support of the superstar DJ’s. VIDEO Interview with Ashley Wallbridge at Armada Night ADE 2012. The Amsterdam Dance Event of 2012 was the 17th edition, and according to all visitors and commentators, was the biggest in size in term of wide variety of activities available. In terms of its size, the number of the people attending, the various conferences, the talks and discussion panels, the music and DJ technology showcase, and the fantastic night events, this event is unprecedented anywhere. The events were mostly hosted by the most significant record labels and artists in the EDM culture at this time. ADE is the only accurate reflection of what really happens in the world of EDM culture. By giving much needed space and time to those who are involved in the various elements of the EDM industry so they can meet in person, distant friends who usually only communicate with each other via email and online social networks, can meet face to face. The most vibrant, the most expanding, the most prosperous industry, and its exciting culture found its home at last, and Amsterdam seems to be the perfect place to host it.

Video Interview with DJ & producer John O'Callaghan at Armada Night at ADE 2012. Five days of this year will be remembered for ever by those who were present at Amsterdam Dance Event 2012. The reason being that this great platform for Electronic Dance Music started its journey through the years as an industry based event. However, in 2012 ADE grew into a significant and highly influential cultural event, which coloured the days and nights of the cold but very welcoming city of Amsterdam with the virtues of EDM. Anyone could taste it either as part of a great discussions panel, University lecture and showcase of the latest DJ equipment with contests for new talent. A delicious menu that was cooked by fellow DJ’s, screening of documentaries with EDM related themes, and many more that too numerous to write about. At night ADE offered the coolest venues in and around Amsterdam city, club events representing a wide variety of music styles to satisfy the needs of the visitors and locals who want to get a sample of EDM madness.
