Enjoy this week’s reviews and let’s start the proceedings with ladies first of course….
Marcie 1Mix RadioMarcie's Lyric Picks Vol. 1: Timely Voices

By Marcie of "Behind The Lyric"

The passage of time is something every conscious entity has no choice but to experience. The experience of time is a subjective one, and highly dependent on our personal emotional state. When we are heartbroken, time can drag on endlessly. It's the same when we are bored, or feeling purposeless. When we are in love, smiling and laughing, or completely immersed in an activity we enjoy, then time feels like it is flying by. I am sure many of us find listening to music makes time pass more pleasantly.

I have noticed that time is a topic often sung about in Vocal Trance, with artists sharing their own perspective on a moment of time in their life.
Here is a list of some of my favorite Vocal Trance tracks then mention moving forward in time, dreaming of the future, and being influenced by our memories.

1) Nic Chagall feat Jonathan Mendelsohn – This Moment
"And I can’t deny these memories got me all locked up inside, And you hold the key"
I think Jonathan expresses a sentiment we have all felt about our memories. Memories can be bittersweet. We need our memories to give our life context, but sometimes it's hard to break free of our memories to start fresh.

2) Armin van Buuren feat. Jaren - Unforgivable
"Well it ain’t over ’till it’s over And my world shuts down But this comes close, I’ll have you know, It’s just a matter of time"

When I hear this refrain, I hear the pain in Jaren's soul. She is at a breaking point, but instead of breaking completely, she is finding a way to draw on her inner strength and keep moving forward. I love lyrics about approaching the future with a new understanding of the past.

3) Air Hustlers feat. Colleen Riley - Downtime
"Shotgun-bang! And the race is on
I can't meet my deadlines, I can't read the headlines,
I stopped to smell the roses but their season had passed
I need a little down time"
It is sad to think about all the beauty we miss when we rush about our lives with tunnel vision. In Behind The Lyric Episode 1, Colleen Riley says "Downtime....was a chance to write about that oft needed breath that we don't have time to take, or don't make time to take".

4) Mark Pledger Feat. Melinda Gareh – Time Stands Still
"Beyond this faded realm of reason
Time stands still"
Melinda sings about an experience when time seems to stop completely for her. I think sometimes we all want the whirlwind of our life to come to a halt so we can breathe, take a step back, and figure out what is going on, and what we truly want.

5) Cosmic Gate feat. Emma Hewitt- Not Enough Time
"I stand before you in the last dance of an old life…"
This line is chilling. It reminds me that times are always changing, and it is our choice how we optimize our use of time.

6) "Andy Duguid feat. Leah- Wasted"
"Wasted all this time, searching
Brought me to my knees"
The tone and melody that Leah uses to sing these words is full of heartache and regret over time wasted searching for something that cannot be found.

7) BT Feat. Jes – Every Other Way
"Heart don’t fail me now
‘Cause there is no time to waste"
Jes beautifully sings about her desire not to waste time in matters of the heart.

8) Oceanlab- Sky Falls Down:
"You lose all sense of reason
You have no sense of danger
It's like you're living in a dream.
It lets you float through crowds and
Makes you smile at strangers
It's just the greatest state of being, Oohh... "
As I said earlier, when we're in love, time flies. Lovers fill time with daydreams, hopes, fantasies, and a sense of contentment. These lyrics strike me as incredibly romantic, but also have a sense of desperation and intensity that perhaps cannot be maintained for long. It makes me wonder how long does the euphoric state of love last?

9) Tydi & Dennis Sheperd feat.Marcie- Somehow
"If you could see into the future, would you do it different now?"
When I'm faced with very difficult decisions, I desperately wish I could see into the future for guidance. Since we can't see into crystal balls, it is important not to ignore advice from people who have life experience that we can benefit from.

10) Tritonal feat. Hannah Sky – Jump Off
"So here we go again
Sometimes I feel nothing’s gonna change
Let’s jump off, into time"
I like the idea that sometimes we have to jump start our future, and now is as good a time as any to do that!

THE OUTSTANDING RELEASE OF THE WEEK

Estiva - Friends & Enemies EP [Enhanced recordings]
1- Friends & Enemies (Original Mix)
2-Estiva - Privilege (Original Mix)
3-Estiva - Dalmatia (Original Mix) [10/10 for all 3]
"Judge Jules - "Tried & Tested Tune Of The Week"
Markus Schulz - GDJB "Global Selection" Winner

Armin van Buuren - ASOT Playlisted

Tiesto - Club Life Playlisted

Above & Beyond - TATW Playlisted

Enhanced favorite Estiva had a fantastic 2009 with releases like I Feel Fine, his debut compilation Enhanced Sessions and remixes for the likes of Couldharbour and gigs all around Europe. With his collaboration with Temple One 'November Lovely' still causing serious damage in the sets of the worlds elite, he shows no sign of holding up with yet another of his outstanding three track EP's. Genuinely, we don't think you will find an artist who delivers such diverse and quality three trackers as this young Dutchman; Stella EP, Strawberry Fields EP, I Feel Fine EP; all have been absolutely outstanding.

Estiva now delivers something slightly different from his normal sound, but still packed with the unmistakable Estiva melodies. The rock influenced Friends & Enemies leads the EP, with its huge synths and heavy percussion, and when the top line enters on the 4 minute mark, it's just perfect. The huge main room Privilege is something that without doubt would take the roof off the Ibizan super club, whilst Dalmatia again hits you with one of the biggest leads we've heard in a while."

Dimitri:Estiva is unstoppable and that amazing producer is back with 3 atmospheric highly emotional tracks that touch you really deep. The kind of tunes that doesn’t have to go 138 BPM to make you move. Friends and Enemies is a deep sensual tribalish kind of trance with a break to die for particularly when the public will experience that huge synthline crafted for big trance festivals and club nights like Digital Society in Leeds. Privilege goes in a more tech trance route that in my ears sounds very close to the classic trance tracks of the late 90's. The melody line run through it and the fantastic break with once again a huge synthline is simply unbelievable. Expect some serious shouts from the trance fanatics out there. Dalmatia is another sonic journey full of nice melodies, atmosphere and in the break even some small piano riffs and then when the beat is graciously back here it goes in full effect for use in crowd packed dance floors. Can not get more outstanding than this new Estiva EP.

Suncatcher - Wildflowers / Ocean City [Enhanced recordings]
1- Wildflowers
2- Ocean City [10/10 for both]
"Suncatcher joins Enhanced after impressing during 2009 with several standout releases. With several remixes and originals in the pipeline for 2010 on Enhanced he kicks off his account with two superb uplifting trancers. Heading the package is Wildflowers. Packed with soaring pads and blissful piano lines, backed up by a beastly bottom end this is a real crowd pleaser. With a huge breakdown, giving one of those classic hands in the air moments, this will no doubt be a stand out track for the young producer. The flip sees Ocean City up the pace and intensity with its no holds barred approach and quite blistering main lead."

Dimitri: Suncatcher is definitely for me one of the big talents to come. His remixes so far were amongst my favorites and already his name is a seal of approval in each release that he maybe included. This double pleasure from him is of course in his recognizable uplifting dreamy style but enhanced with the Enhanced label high quality values. Wildflowers cannot get any better as it is written according to the 'how to make a trance anthem' guidelines. The beat, the kick drum, and the escapist atmosphere of it in the break with the superb uplifting synths are top notch. The only drawback is the glitzy sound that appears in the climax when the beat enters the track. I would prefer a drum roll or another way to be honest. The second megaton bomb comes in the shape of Ocean City. Close your eyes and indulge yourself in the fantastic break that will transcend you straight away in the deepest places of the ocean. Of course, when the beat resumes the driving feeling of it is impossible not to make you dance along with your crowd. You will be proud when you will play them, take my word for it!

John Dopping - The Mind [Digital Society Recordings ]
1-Original Mix [9/10]
2-Activa Remix [10/10]
3-Dazzle Remix [8/10]
4-Extended mix [10/10]
"John Dopping kicks off  2010 for DS-R in fine style with this blistering peak timer.

A newcomer to the scene, John has featured in the DS Invitation Room at Digital Society. Remix duty falls to Digital Society favorite Activa and Dutch star Dazzle. Activa's well known for his late night sets at Digital Society and his remix is typical of the British trance don. Dazzle ups the groove whilst adding techy elements and reworks the main structure to great effect."

Dimitri: Nice to see Digital Society opening its doors to new talents as I’m fed up by seeing again and again the same names. John is offering two versions in his first tune for digital society. The original shorter mix flows really well without having that extra special. Of course, all this changes in the extended longer mix. The track is much more developed and now is ready to take its place in your peak time tunez selection of your set. Activa remix is on the high standards that Rob is known for again full on, very powerful, simply great. The Dazzle mix is the less well developed and executed mix in the package. He goes to a more tech trance road but I feel that lacks sense of direction. It will be maybe good for electro trancers but for me ‘its maybe to use’ selection.

Aleete - Passion [Wild/Baroque records]
1- Original Mix
2-Omen Remix
3- Dmitry Bessenov Remix
4- Edu Remix
5- Alex Pich & Dmitry Fedorov Remix
6- Domestic Technology Remix [10/10 for the whole package]

"Aleete return on wild records, for this stormer of a package. Pulsating rhythms & direct driving melodies make this a peaker for sure!.. With a selection of remixes from the likes of Omen, Dmitry Bessenov, Edu & Alex Pich.. this really does have something for everyone to enjoy"

Dimitri: Wild continues its odyssey to discover really nice tracks and Passion as the name suggests is passionate prog trance that is deep and very melodic ready for the peak time moments in your set. The package is so varied that is impossible not to find the mix that will be a great asset in your star performance. My favorite mix is Edu who continues to impress us all big time with his deep mix and the addition of his dreamy trademark sound that we all loved in his "Levare records" release Time Traveler. Dmitry Bessenov is the second best with its uplifting energy and the great use of the main melody from the original. If you support passionately one record this month, this should be the appropriate titles Passion.

Oxygen Shadow – Letano [Redux digital]
1-Dima Krasnik Remix 10/10
2- Original Mix 9/10
3- Smart Apes Remix 10/10
4- XiJaro Remix 8.5/10

Dimitri: Redux continues with another fantastic trancer. The original goes the more tech trance style with fantastic results in a track that any dance floor will react positively. Smart Apes do a more prog trance friendly version that is upbeat and ear catching. The uplifting Dima Krasnik mix though, is the one that I find as stand out in the package and on the high standards that you expect to get from Dima's productions. Lastly, Xjaro mix in a more deep kind of trance that I’m sure people who dig that style will love it! All the styles and sounds of today are catered for in this well put together release

Cramp – Lifestream EP [Neuroscience recordings]
1-Lifestreams 10/10
2-Sliders 8.5/10
"Cramp is a name you might recognise from labels such as Anjunabeats, Flashover and Conspiracy. His tracks and remixes have gained the support of DJ's like Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz and Paul Van Dyk in recent times. Bringing with him the second Neuroscience Recordings release for 2010, we now welcome Cramp in to the Neuroscience family! Featuring two superb tracks by the name of 'Lifestream' and 'Sliders', this EP is perfectly showcases Cramp's superb production talents. Fusing together progressive sounds and uplifting trance melodic elements, these tracks have great crossover appeal, and are sure to help Cramp continue with his success."

Additional info: www.neurosciencerecordings.co.uk

Dimitri: Cramp is one of my favorite producers at the moment as he constantly delivers the goods and tracks that every trance DJ will feel proud to play and tell them loud to his devotees. Both tracks are offering top breaks that are well crafted and then the build up and the main part is groovy and real repetitive , varied and really Trancy. Lifestreams is my pick of the two as I feel that has the potential to become one of your well-kept secrets in your set. Quality all the way…

Blufeld - Air Of Doubt [Bonzai Progressive]
1-Original [9,5/10]
2-Subtara [9/10]
3-Castra [10/10]
"This English producer doesn't need an introduction anymore. He started with a one of single some 2 years ago and now he's a fully grown artist, who released recently also his very first artist album. Air of Doubt is part of this album and is one of the more clubby sounding trance anthems on the album with a wink to the past. Topped with two great remixes by Subtara and Castra this is a really strong release yet again on Bonzai Progressive."

Dimitri: Blufeld is one of my favorite in the Bonzai labels rooster cause he always manages to impress with his beautiful melodies and the high quality productions. He is name that you can trust that he can do something really fresh and sweet to keep the vibe going. Air of doubt certainly is a peak time track in any DJ set that goes for the deep groovy melodic trance style with some tech trance tones too. Subtara is faithful in his deep and epic style but the real winner is the Castra mix. Top mix in the pack for me cause it is deep and meaningful but after the break is transformed into a manic big trancer not to be overlooked with big crowds and festivals in the back of the producers mind. No doubt about this stand out from the pack release.

DreamMan featuring York - Moonrise On The Beach [Green Martian]
1-DreamMan club mix 10/10
2-Original & Ambient mixes 10/19
"Moonrise On The Beach is the second single by this Russian producer this time featuring York.Coming in 3 versions including a chill out mix this is a really nice and typical Green Martian style release with deeper floating trance sounds, smooth and easy going and at the same time very inspiring."

Dimitri: Surprising release on Green Martian with a lot of potential because of the big name of York that takes part in this release and reminds us how good was all their tracks that brothers Stenzel produced in the past. The DreamMan mix is perfect to use in any trance floor and offer that summer night swimming and making love on the beach feel to your DJ set. Original and Ambient mixes are must have when you want to relax and daydream in your work desk but I feel that more club mixes are needed to exploit the full potential of it.

Arjona - Hold Me [Progrez]
1-Original
2- CJ Peeton
3- Bent Hunt [10/10 for the whole package]
"A first release by this youngster named Arjona. Hold Me in the original mix bring a bit of a darker progressive trance sound while CJ Peeton and Bent Hunt explore more the progressive house/progressive trance sounds. A strong one on Progrez."

Dimitri: Progrez is the label that explores the boundaries between trance and house and this release exemplifies exactly that. Original and Ben Hunt is a groovy journey non stop that is full of supprising and very pleasant twists and turns. CJ Peeton adds even a blues guitar sound and makes it perfect for the house buddies while the best mix is the epic Ben Hunt. Try to listen carefully on this mix and discover the richness of the sound in it. The case of a release that tells you that something is in here don’t pass it by..

FKN Ft Laurie - Alone [DeepBlue records]
1-Original Mix / Dub / Aurosonic Remix / Dub
Plus Bonus track 'Allegro' (Vascotia Mix) [10/10 for the whole package]
"As we gear towards his eagerly awaited artist album, Frode Kambo Nilson aka 'FKN' - Deepblue stalwart and a man who undoubtedly needs no introduction once again returns with his first big tune on the label for 2010 to kick off the year in fine style. This time teaming up with the US-based songwriter Jaren and vocalist Laurie Mannette for 'Alone'...

On remix duties, the excellent 'Aurosonic' provide a stunning remix, injecting a slightly deeper edged vibe while still retaining the essence and energy of the original... complete with emotional piano melodies. Finally, to round off the package is the bonus track 'Allegro' - Once again Frode delivers a driving main mix under his 'Vascotia' alter-ego. Full of energy and bangin'' beats fused with haunting melodies, this is a perfect addition to an already blinding package which will undoubtedly also see its way into many DJ set-lists."

Dimitri: Deep blue continues to unleash in the trance community very strong tracks in a very attractive package with delicious mixes in it. The new FKN single continues the good reputation of the previous releases and of course there is no way to disappoint you. The fantastic lyrics written by Jaren delivered by the mesmerizing voice of Laurie that sounds like a newcomer in my books and the superb uplifting melodies will make this an instant favorite for your audience. Of course, the remix package is the best you can get with Aurosonic that are extremely successful in the Beatport charts delivering a very deep, sensual and very delicate melodic groovy trance mix that wins my vote and sympathy. The addition of the fat power Trancer Allegro in the Vascotia mix make this release perfect for any set or occasion. A must have for the coming weeks. It is already part of the most famous radio shows hosted by superstar DJ's.

DJ Ange – Seamless / Watching Over Me [Levare]
1- Seamless (Original Mix)
2- Watching Over Me (Original Mix) [10/10 for the whole package]
"DJ Ange is a fast emerging female DJ / producer hailing from Sydney, Australia.
In just 4 years of entering the club scene, DJ Ange has built a solid name as resident DJ on Ibiza for the summer of 2008 and 2009. The "Seamless / Watching Over Me" EP consist of two epic trancers with the typical Levare Recordings feeling to them. Already supported by Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten."

Dimitri: Superb uplifting trancer with so much energy packed in it them that you will feel on fire for the whole night after you listening your favorite DJ playing them on a big event. Both tracks have that high quality values that we always expect to get from Levare. Mesmerizing melodies that keep your ear glued on the speakers, tough percussion, demanding beat and the always attention to detail break that certainly is big pay off moment on both tracks. It was impossible once again to choose the best, as I personally will use both. DJ Ange is here to stay and I hope more stuff from her. That girl deserved it all.

Indecent Noise - Run to the Sun [Infrasonic Future]
1-Original 'Aero' Mix
2-Sean Truby Remix [10/10 for both versions]
"Another Polish producer making head way at the moment joins the Infrasonic team for release number 6 in the shape of Indecent Noise. Over the last 12 months the Dj/Producer has been quietly making waves with support now coming thick and fast from his peers. Known for his tough no nonsense style of music he takes a different approach this time round and tones things down some what with a very impressive trance record showcasing his versatility. Remix duties come from UK based trance producer Sean Truby who takes things up a notch with a big tech influenced remix completing the package nicely. One for the main room"

Dimitri: Massive uplifting trancers that every trance DJ should make some space in his collection to include cause simply in the next months he would be impossible to escape from them. Amazing melody from the kind that Indecent Noise only knows to compose, of course cool female whispering vocals and enough uplifting power to blow your socks off. Sean Truby takes the harder route in a more hard uplifting trance style that will be perfect for those who play stronger bass-lines.

Arcane Science - The Sorcery Within [Noys Music]
1-Original Mix
2-Mike Koglin Remix [10/10 for both mixes]
"The unstoppable Arcane Science brothers are back with another massive release - The Sorcery Within. While the original mix is already, enjoying huge support from Tiesto the the release is now complete with a superb remix by Noys label boss Mike Koglin."

Dimitri: Arcane Science enter the new decade with a totally different sound from the one that we maybe expected from them. It’s more on the prog electro trance variation with huge synthy symphonic part on the break and cool build up after that. The kind of the sound that currently supports in his set DJ Tiesto and many other DJ's. Mike koglin, the Noys boss, after his excellent collaboration with POS on the top "Autumn" track , delivers in my opinion the best mix. I feel that is much more to the point of trance sound that I like as it is going in a more epic and less but still with elements of electro trance direction. Of course, in my opinion I would love to have an uplifting 138 BPM as well as the break will be perfect so maybe Noys should consider to add a remix on the more banging tip.

Wojciech Tuszynski Melancholy E.P. [Mainframe Recordings]
1- Melancholy
2- I Know What I Should Do [9/10 for both]
Mainframe Recordings present you another Polish rock star : Wojciech Tuszynski! Wojiech's (also known as Vojt van Twistigen) is on this moment a huge talent and one of the most inspiring producers. This E.P. consists of Melancholy and I Know What I Should Do. The production Melancholy is absolutely a progressive stormer. You can be ensured that this track will be kill the dance floor! "

Dimitri: Melodic tracks that follow the tech trance route perfect for club use for sure. Both use great touching riffs and melodies but you feel that the tracks never lean to the uplifting direction. He stays in the more tech trance route that is perfect for the harder trance floors and for the DJ's who doesn’t want to push his set to the limits but rather play around first with his audience. The kind of tracks that are not instant but certainly will not pass unnoticed.

Solarstone & Orkidea – Slowmotion [Molecule Recordings]
1. Slowmotion [French Renaissance Mix]
2. Slowmotion [Medway Remix]
3. Slowmotion [Big Black Rat Remix]
4. Slowmotion [Ilya Malyuev Chicago Mix]
5. Slowmotion [Lowland Remix]
6. Slowmotion [French Renaissance Extended Mix]
7. Slowmotion [Video Mix] [10/10 for the whole package]
"Slowmotion is the first release on Solarstone's new primarily progressive label 'Molecule Recordings', a nu-breed of EDM label pertaining to cutting edge sound and visual. 'Slowmotion' first surfaced in 2008 on Orkidea's 'Metaverse' album, and subsequently on Solarstone's 'Electronic Architecture' album of 2009. Now Molecule presents this clutch of brilliant remixes to kick start industry presence. The 'French Renaissance' mix is a re-rub of the original with an additional ethereal spoken word sample, and is the version featured in the video which will be gracing TV screens shortly. Prog heron Medway has dropped a dark club mix ,newcomer Big Black Rat fuses retro electronica sounds with the original melodies, Ilya Malyuev's remix is a surprise, and finally Lowland delivers the uplifting mix you have been waiting for. All in all we're extremely proud to present this, the first Molecule Recordings release."

Dimitri: Great idea to start a progressive label only and this first release proves how much right was that decision. Slowmotion brings the real electronic music back to the modern day dance floor with real pleasure for all of us who simply love today but we always have an ear for the past. Medway remix is deep and techy perfect for prog houser's who love their sound big and moody, Big black cat and Ilya mixes are the real positive surprises for me. Really groovy but totally different thing that definitely if you have the chance should be part of any eclectic set. Of course, trance sets will be nothing without the addition of that Lowland mix that keeps a close ear in his mix on the psy-trance style. Welcome Molecule and please stay, bright future is ahead for you!"

TRANCE LONG PLAYER NOT TO BE MISSED

Tasadi - The System Rebooted [Lost Language] Release Date: 08 Mar 2010
Tracklisting:
1. Sol [4Mal Remix]
2. Mercurius [Nhato Remix]
3. Venus [Allende Remix]
4. Terra [Existone Remix]
5. Luna [Michael Badal Remix]
6. Mars [Vadim Zhukov Remix]
7. Jupiter [Nhato Remix]
8. Saturnus [Ivan Mateluna Remix]
9. Uranus [Cressida Remix]
10. Neptune [J-Soul Remix]
11. Pluto [Alejandro Rivera Remix]
12. Venus [Allende Dub]
13. Neptune [JSoul Dub] [10/10 for the whole album]
"The Tasadi album ‘The System’ was one of the Lost Language highlights from 2009. A great concept, some great tunes and a common thread that tied everything together that is so often missing in trance albums. Fast forward a year and a bit and its time to remind ourselves what a fine gem our favorite Dallas resident accomplished. Of course this is prog trance land and that means … remixes. Tasadi is fortunate enough to work with a fine cadre of producers and DJ's. Here he deploys his special forces once more on the 12 tracks from ‘The System’. For those who like things less vocal, the instrumental dubs included as well."

Dimitri: I did an interview with Tasadi on my Flux BPM radio show about his album and it was the album of the week for couple of weeks as well because it had a big idea behind it and a concept that kept the various tracks together. That idea to do a remix album certainly sounds more than welcomed and the results justify your decision. The remix package is really awesome and all the producers manage to offer new very surprising and exciting points of view in those lovely spacey tracks. The ones that seems to start getting my attention and my radio listeners attention are the remixes by Allende/Existone, Nhato on Jupiter, Ivan Mateluna, the always wicked Cressida and the groovy J soul. This is high quality electronic music in a jam-packaged package! Actually it would be cool idea Lost Language to organize a remix competition and give young producers the chance to shine.

Progressive House/Tech House tunez of the week

THE OUTSTANDING PROG HOUSE RELEASE OF THE WEEK:

Green & Falkner - Satisfaction [Afterglow Deep]
1-Original mix
2-Neuroxyde remix
3-16 bit Lolita's remix [10/10 for the whole package]
Afterglow deep welcomes you to the new year and new decade with a bang and a very fresh start. The first release hitting the stores worldwide at the very first of February is the first ever production from Green and Falkner on Afterglow Deep ,named "Satisfaction". Behind Green & Falkner are swiss producer Josh Green, Steve Falkner and last but not least label honcho Elef Tsiroudis.

As you can guess from the title the track guarantees to satisfy your enormous hunger for quality progressive house tasty beats. The original is a tribal prog house affair with stunningly crafted African tribal chants in the break and wobbly beats that is impossible not to put you in the mood for party. It’s the kind of tune that when you listen it on loud headphones in the club the vibration from the beats radiates from your foot to the brain and the other way around. Of course if your satisfaction is difficult to satisfy with just one version the package included for all the greedy people out there two massive mixes that will become part of your DJ set without a doubt.

If the original mix was a bit hard for you 16 b Lolita's offer in their own very unique and extra special style a very electronic mix that is groovy and very driving. The kind of mix that keeps you glued as you don’t know what surprise will come next. Finally Neuroxyde who has been one of the most successful artists in 2009 goes for a more tech house version that is perfect for DJ's who play the Dutch house sound such as Laidback Luke or Chuckie stuff. Very catchy and extremely groovy with the addition of some weird dialogs on top that you know that will make the dance floor start ass shaking. Of course the African tribal chant is present to add this exotic flavor.

A package that will satisfy you for sure if you lately feel that the tunes that you buy can not give you the buzz and satisfaction that you wish for…..

Swen Weber – Xonque [Avanti]
1-Original
2-Julian Vegas Remix [10/10 for both versions]
"Swen Weber drops his new single, entitled "Xonque" on Avanti. He hits hard with this tough electro house production on the techno tip and considering the string and synth stabs he uses, Swen knows a thing or two about late eighties, early nineties electro.

The theme in "Xonque" is a lovely bouncing synth line, combined with loud ripping stabs and the whole thing comes perfectly together after the break. Julian Vegas made the original perfectly accessible for the trance DJ's."

Dimitri: Avanti continues with a bang in 2010 with another very good choice to unleash in the so growing and highly increased prog house market. Top tune produced for the dance floor and of course ready to cause massive hysteria in the area. The electro 80's synthy line is simply mind boggling and I hope after listening it on repeat mode to figure out if it is an original melody or is a sample from a well known track. Certainly here we deal with a track craving to be included in your peak time choices for the night. Maximum respect for Swen and maximum respect for Julian who really manage to transform the track into that hybrid thing that prog house and prog trance DJ's will adore. This deserves to be huge if DJ's are not deaf of course.

DJ Tatana - Autumn Sun remixes [Sirup Records]
1-Incognet Remix [10/10]
2-Oliver Southey Remix[8.5/10]
"Straight on from her best selling hit release Spring Breeze including the #1 remix by Martin Roth, DJ TATANA released her follow up AUTUMN SUN in 2009. Now the long awaited and already hyped remixes from INCOGNET and OLIVER SOUTHEY are here!!

Crowned with multiple Gold and Platinum Awards as well as being the winner of last years Swiss Music Award, Tatana has gained international recognition with her many CD and Vinyl releases and is also presenting her own label Sirup Records. Being a well respected DJ, the Czech born artist constantly travels around the world playing her stunning sets on international events and festivals. Tatana is the undisputed leader of the local electronic music scene in her Swiss home country. Let's enjoy the Autumn Sun in the European spring time!! "

Dimitri: Autumn Sun was one of the best progressive trance meets house tracks of 2009 with amazing chicane like Ibiza style melody. I am glad that new remixes try to recreate it in their own unique way. The stand out version for me is the Icognet mix. Very driving and extremely tasty version that flows really nicely with amazing break that utilizes the unforgettable amazing melody and the nice vocals snippets in the best possible direction perfect to start a trance set or peak time for prog housers. Sounds that guarantee to drive people on the dance floor and throw their hands in the air, feel happy, satisfied and calm like never before. Of course the Oliver Southey mix is top as well with the tribalish beats in a very electronic party fest atmosphere making autumn sun perfect for the more intelligent kind of tech house sets.

Solano - Making Waves [Deep End]
1-Original
2-Enrico De Luca mix
"Deep End continue its prog tech journey with a release by Solano called Making Waves. For this track Solano teamed up with Ali Wilson. Surely we all know Ali Wilson from his great releases on Marco V's label and this one is one for the books. Their productions have been supported by every superstar DJ around varying from John Digweed to Tiesto, so no need to name them all. 'Making Waves' is a justified name for this release when you have a listen to the breakdown in particular. It's surely something both proggers and trancers will appreciate! And just to give it that extra techy edgy we went down to Enrico De Luca who delivers a great piece of remix work once again."

Dimitri: Very nice and clubby that flows very nicely with very addictive main synthy line that catches the attention and gets you into its groove instantly. This is another party stomper that of course becomes even better in the hands of Enrico who follows the more minimal tech house meets prog direction and he arrives with a remix that will left you speechless. This mix is destined to work big time on any eclectic dance floor. Deep End is for sure once again seal of approval on anything they put out.

LÜTZENKIRCHEN – Body Nation EP [Great Stuff]
1-Lützenkirchen - Till I Come To Your Rescue
2-Lützenkirchen - Till I Come To Your Rescue (Lützenkirchen’s Pseydo Dub)
3-Lützenkirchen - Body Nation
4-Lützenkirchen - Yoh-Ka! [10/10 cause this EP simply rocks]
"Right after Luetzenkirchen’s great last releases on Great Stuff ("Ghost Me EP), Kling Klong (Linear Sky EP) and on his own label Platform B (EP #11) the unstoppable studio wizard lost no time for his next EP. These three massive and very diverse tracks with funky Disco-Tech ("Body Nation"Wink, jackin’ nu Chicago house ("Yoh-Ka!"Wink and driving tech-house ("Till I Come To Your Rescue"Wink should please all crowds and will be highlights in Luetzenkirchen’s weekly live-sets anywhere on this planet. This guy proves it again and again

Dimitri: Thanks to your label I become addicted to that fantastic artist that I manage to see him live at Nature One in Germany and it was simply a big revelation for me.One of the hottest artists delivering an unforgettable live experience. His name is a bit difficult to pronounce in my radio shows but it’s so easy to play his releases that from day to day become even fatter and really mature. This new EP contains some big time -peak time bombs to play in a set and get the best reaction from your crowd. Till I come to rescue in two excellent versions that it’s hard to choose the one that stands out with its repetitive vocal and the so good warm steamy club bouncy beats. Body Nation includes many references to the past of house music and pays homage to the past with sounds from the future. Yoh-Ka is ultra cool too without a doubt.

Luthier & Lisboa - Deubreak EP [Plastik Park]
1-Luthier, Lisboa - Deubreak (Original)
2- Luthier, Lisboa - Crystal Lake (Original) [10/10 for both]
"Luthier is the project of two young guys from Rio De Janeiro, combining their forces in the studio for our next Plastik Park release, together with fellow Brazilian, Lisboa. The Lutheir style walks between tech-house and progressive-house, so addictive and hypnotic. These guys have been producing music together since 8 years, and playing live sets at major Brazilian festivals such as Kaballah, Universe Paralello and Cachoeira Alta Festival. Lisboa is a total new comer to releasing his music, shining in this winning combination together with Luthier."

Dimitri: Plastik Park consistently provides the progressive house community with releases that deserve to be out there and manage in a very unique way to capture the imagination of the majority of the DJ's and the fans alike with result to get always high position on Beatport charts. This time the Latin American guys inject their tunes with that Latin fever feeling to them and here you have two very sweet high quality progressive house tunes that will rock dance floors and the Rio De Janeiro carnival too. Both tracks flow really nicely and the real deal in them is the clean and crispy beats and percussion. These tunes are so fun to dance your night away.

Andrewboy - Rheumatic Fever [Baroque special]
1-Andrewboy - Rheumatic Fever (Original Mix)
2- Andrewboy - Rheumatic Fever (Saimont Remix)[10/10 for both]
"Andrewboy turns up the heat , as we work towards his album release , due around April time. Here he turns in a twisted tribally tech house cut. Seriously addictive, coming with some mind-bending production! Saimont provide the deeper rollin style mix , still techy & just as addictive. a proper two track player!"

Dimitri: Certainly Andrewboy is a top new artist to invest to and Baroque recognizes that and is going to offer us a whole EP with his tasty and salty goodies. Really cheeky stuff in this EP contains tracks that any progressive house DJ will feel infinite pleasure to play as will do perfect audio-massage in his ears to carry on his hard work and beer drinking while his audience will move and shake and have great time on the floor. The remix is for different time or type of sets. You will find the appropriate time to squeeze it in and then let the beat control their body yo!!!

YosTek - High Low EP [1980 recordings]
1- High Low
2- Acidance [10/10 for both tunez]
"Yostek from Jerusalem, Israel delivers a Tech fueled dark EP on 1980 Recordings.

Acidance is a crunchy, squeaky dark techno track, with throbbing beats & bass, layered with a infectious high synth lead. High Low is a uber cool tech house track. You'll be forever nodding your head to this slow club burner. It's a dark day for 1980 Recordings but its a bright day for the dance floor."

Dimitri: Both tunes are brilliant and you will find like me if you are a bit difficult to make up your mind which of the two will you vote as your favorite. You can expect tracks that will make connection and will communicate their vibe instantly to your audience. Both are peak time choice for any DJ who love his music to have nice references to the past but articulated with the sounds of the future. The 80’s maybe are far away but still there are many artist that pay homage to the rich originality and styles of that decade that put a huge stamp upon the development of EDM music. Of course Dan Mc Kie as an A&R cannot go wrong and in this release, and he prove it with a big BANG. Yostek is about the enter your DJ sets, give him a warm applause please…

AND FINALLY SOMETHING ON A HOUSIER TIP...

Robbie Rivera ft. Fast Eddie - Let Me Sip My Drink [Black Hole]
1-Radio edit
2-Chuckie Remix
3-Mastiksoul Remix
4-Robbie Rivera's Juicy Big-room Dub [10/10 for the whole package]
"Robbie Rivera never sleeps, maybe that's the best way to say it. 'Cause once again he's back with another party slammer: "Let Me Sip My Drink", which features the vocals of the one and only Fast Eddie. Of course, the older cats amongst us will immediately recognize that name, since Fast Eddie was one of the kings of acid and hip house in the early and mid nineties. Tyree Cooper, Fast Eddie, The Mix-masters and many others; their original vinyl releases on Underground Records and DJ International are now worth a small fortune.

This all means that Robbie took no chances when he started working on "Let Me Sip My Drink". The end result is a fantastic party track to tear the roof of the sucker. Since the full potential of the track applies to basically all the styles of modern dance music, Black Hole have assembled an impressive DJ Pack in two parts, containing the cream of the crop of current remixers."

Dimitri: Robbie is such a top DJ and producer and this super charged house hit you can guess from miles away that has that big HIT potential to break into the daytime radio and even make housewives crazy and your grandma too. The vocal is very addictive delivered from a legend and that radio edit will do the job right and exact. Chuckie delivers my favorite remix on the pack as he goes all big and dirty Dutch direction and he does it with so much class once again. Second favorite is the massive mastiksoul who offer a such well-balanced tech house banger impossible to resist if you go for underground sounds. Finally, Robbie himself offers a much more deep, darker, tastier version perfect for the clubs. This will rock and becomes instantly my number 1 in my Flux presents House Anthems radio show and totally deserves it!
