THE OUTSTANDING RELEASE OF THE WEEK: “BT must be one of the most prolific producers in his field. Taken from his upcoming album, this is another brand new single, featuring the intense vocals by Christian Burns. The track, entitled "Suddenly" will enchant every lover of vocal electronic dance music. Loaded with fierce edits and intense guitar work, the song makes a nod and a wink to the sound of mid nineties Depeche Mode and especially the chorus adds to the passion and vigour of the entire track. The remix package offers a wide variety of versions. Celldweller, Cicade and Dave Darrell stay close to the original . Ferry Corsten gave "Suddenly" his trademark trance make over. Mr Sam turned the original into a massive, DJ friendly version. Also make sure to check out the JJ Mix, 'cause its down tempo rock arrangement and the heavy guitars are an absolute refreshing surprise. After "The Rose Of Jericho" and "Every Other Way", all taken from BT's upcoming album "These Hopeful Machines", we can state that this fabulous new single "Suddenly" will rock your party!” Dimitri: Wicked new single from BT that his previous instrumental “The Rose of Jericho” and then “Every Other Way” with Jes is still requested in my radio shows as for many trance fans BT is considered more as a fully fledged artist rather than as another dj who start productions in order to get more bookings . “Suddenly” is another fantastic example of his ability to compose electronic dance music with soul that fuses rock indie influences in a such creative and plural way by respecting both styles. The remix package cannot get any better with Ferry Corsten offering a really epic mix that provide the vocals by the always powerful Christian Burns, the space to move on. The kind of mixes that the remixer has build his mix around the vocal rather than adding it afterwards. Mr sam is doing the 2nd best mix in a tech trance/prog rock hybrid thing that has many surprising and unexpected moments and for sure people will sing a long with it I’m sure in the Trance Energy 2010 event that BT will appear in the main stage. Dave Darrel is going his mainstream electro house style that gets the most daytime radio play and third best is the deep and glorious Cicada mix that it is a pleasure to listen. All these singles have open big time our hunger and enthusiasm for BT forthcoming album. Space RockerZ - Weather The Storm [In Trance We Trust ]
1.Original The Blizzard [10/10]2.James Hampton Monsoon Remix [8.5/10] 3.Daniel Wanrooy Twister Remix [10/10] “Space Rockerz had a very successful debut with their single "Zegema Beach" and the track was immediately requested by Daniel Wanrooy for his mix compilation of In Trance We Trust 14. With that positivity still in mind, Space Rockerz worked hard to come up with this fabulous new release, entitled "Weather The Storm". The track is a truly symphonic piece of work that has all the potential to become a future anthem. Daniel Wanrooy gave the original an extreme make over and turned it into a truly big room slammer that will suit perfectly in the track list for a large event. James Hampton's point of view delivers an almost electronic house version that eventually breaks out as a real tech trancer with hard ripping strings.” Additional info: www.blackholerecordings.com Solarstone -"Solarstone Remodeled Volume 1" [Lost Language] “The Solarstone world never stops turning.. Rich is currently locked-away in his bunker working on album no2. Lost Language from its back catalogue presents two finely executed remixes of classic Solarstone tracks.First up is Dutch trance supremo RAM, with his octane pumped revamp of debut Solarstone release (way back in 1997 folks!) 'The Calling'. Next up is our favorite Cypriot Trancemaster Haris C. His mix of 2002's 'Solarcoaster' is a main-room big-riffed workout of the Tiesto ISOS3 featured hit.” Dimitri: It is such a fantastic idea to bring back with new mixes classic trance athems like this ones that will never be forgotten and will always be remembered with a huge smile in our face. RAM that he is very hot property at the moment is offering an amazing makeorer of the massive The Calling. All the great elements of the original are present but fully updated on the very popular banging uplifting euphoric RAM”amsterdam” style. Just wait when that Calling vocal chorus comes in and check people's reactions. Haris C from Cyprus updates in the best possible way Solarcoaster. That fantastic vocal and the unforgettable riff that still brings Goosebumps worked out in a such way that sound so fresh and current perfect for the modern trancefloor. Tracks that will be on many djs playlists in the coming months. Lets hope more Solarstone classics will come back as the new generation deserves to know them too. Featured for the first time on Enhanced Sessions Vol. 1, mixed by the duo, the package now includes stunning mixes from both Temple One and Estiva.” Dimitri: Thats another amazing release from our beloved label. Two of the most successful producers that never fail to impress us join forces to create another peak time trance anthem and the result is another Enhanced super anthem. The melodic is airy and very strong to hook you on the speakers and melt your body on the dancefloor. Two Estiva mixes are going the prog trance way that we know from him that is relaxing but at the same time really energetic and very nice to dance too with that electro kind of beat and superb use on its own way of the mindblowing melody. Temple One will be the favorite for any uplifting dj as you can feel from the first notes of the gigantic proportions break that this will have an immediate, right, and exact effect on your audience. Enhanced is one of the best UK labels and you should check anything with their stamp on it. Additional info:www.enhancedrecordings.com
“The new Fenology release is exactly the uplifting quality that you expect from Fenology! Feedback: JayB opens the new decade for Fenology with a Boom and a massive uplifting package that guarantees to push you to your limits until to reach the highest highs. The kind of the tracks that you know that will make your crowd happy and even yourself jumping with them. Eleven Thirty is following the classic uplifting way of building a trance track in a very epic and dreamy way with twisted playful bassline and lovely ambient melodies on top that invite you to close your eyes and start dreaming and dancing. The break is calm and soothing introducing the main melodic theme that comes in full effect when the beat comes back and the journey continues. Signals is a much more intense affair full of electronic melodies. The break is crafted so beautifully with the nice piano like melody and then again when the beat comes back everything flows so nicely. Very groovy and epic this is real trance far away from formulas that we know from other tunes. JayB tries to be different and he manages it. Suncatcher finally one of my favorite remixers comes back with a fantastic mix helping the “eleven thirthy” to become more dynamic ready for peak time action. Additional info: www.fenology.com Drama - The Drama EP [Eve Records/Recoverworld] “Drama last released on Discover Dark in 2008 with the excellent “Silver Haze”. Since that time, the US based producer has been no slouch delivering this 5 track E.P. with styles ranging from the full on driving stab based trance of "Time Heal's" and "Let's Go" through to the deeper tech trance style of "Slam Hound". With a busy year planned ahead, this 5 track sampler gives an excellent taste of what is to come from this talented artist!” Dimitri: Eve records release schedule for the new decade starts with a very nice package of 5 tunes that are different and exciting each one on its own merit of course. So if you are a dj with just one release you cover different times of your set giving your dancefloor that extra push that needs when you see that with difficulty reacting to anything that you may happen to play. In my opinion the most obvious and in full effect kind of tunes from the Ep are the top Lets Go with very atmospheric break and nice return of the beat and Game Over. Trancers that sound underground and really raw but very accessible. Perfect for any dj who wants to keep his credibility and he avoids the extra cheese added on some uplifting releases. Activa - Sniper / Wargame EP [Discover Dark] “With his first single of the year, Activa steps up to the mark with a release on Discover's suitably named Discover Dark offshoot. Hot off the press, 'Sniper' is as much about techno as it is about trance with its twisted grooves, filtered riffs and all round filth. Rob's collaboration with Peetu S, which first featured on his excellent debut album "This World" keeps the riffs simple and bassline driving to push this E.P. home into heads down groove based darkness!! Reaky continues this theme with his rework as Discover Dark hit's the ground running for 2010.” Dimitri: Activa’s “This World” was one of the stand out albums of 2009 in the trance scene released on Discover. Great to see on Discover Dark as single those darker and harder tunes that express another side of Rob’s creativity and certainly help to stop cast him as trance producer as I find him really versatile and able to touch any style in the current EDM. Snipper is hard as nails with melodic touches while Wargame is melodic groovy techno style track that crosses over to the eclectic trance and techno dj sets. Reaky mix on this package is the best for me as I find it more squeaky, twisted and extremely pleasant to dance while recording my radio show. It has that ability to make you want to let yourself go. Let us hope for a solo single from Reaky on Discover Dark. Peetu S - Footprints [Kill the Lights] “Peetu S is better known for his techno and tech trance productions across a number of labels including Discover and Discover Dark. However, for this excursion he shows his trancier talents with Footprints - a track based around a riff that is a subtle as it is uplifting. Dimitri: Peetu S new single on “Kill the Lights” is according to the high standards that this label has manage to establish in the trance community with its previous releases. Footprints is a very summerish ibiza trance style of a track that is tribal and groovy but at the same time is dreamy and melancholic with the chicanish kind of melodies in the before the sunset mix that is my favorite. Nice ethnic kinds of voices are present too to add in the whole build of atmosphere. After the sunset is targeted more for early morning kind of sets that the party is in full effect and is of course as you can sense it is much more rougher and techier for those who don’t like the melodic beats. Additional info for all 3: www.recoverworld.com Talla 2XLC vs Robert Burian - Deja Vu (Para X remix) [Addicted to Trance] “Since the big success of "Deja Vu's" original release, Talla 2XLC decided to go for another remix. This time, he chooses 'Para X', who's one of the hottest german trance producer talents and DJ's for 2010, born and raised in the cradle of techno "Frankfurt/Germany". His sound is very charismatic, uplifting and banging. Dimitri: Deja Vu was of course a huge hit in my radio shows that I have supported whole-heartedly. I wonder if there was need for separate release of this mix. My verdict is that certainly is a remix that deserves to get to the public and the public decide with its buying powers if it’s worth it or not. The beat is quite strong even that sounds a bit old fashion but the whole construction of it is good and solid with impressive use of the main addictive riff. Certainly a good asset in the cd wallet of any dj. Additional info: www.tetsuo.tc Tritonal feat Soto - One More Day [Alter Ego Records] “Tritonal, one of the biggest and brightest production outfits to emerge in 2009, return to Alter Ego Records with one of their biggest releases to date. One More Day features the stunning vocals from Cristina Soto and delivers perfectly on so many levels. One More Day also includes some huge remixes. Tritonal, in the form of their Air Up There guise present a more low key, yet solid sounding alternative remix to the package. Label owners Abbott & Chambers present a stunning euphoric version of One More Day which simply oozes peak time trance appeal. Lastly, Mike Mikhjian turns in a fantastically groovy take of One More Day which brings a welcomed new sound to package and rounds off the release nicely.”
Additional info: www.alteregorecords.com Mike Shiver and Matias Lehtola - 'Nana / Snooze' [New Remixes] [Captured Music] “The original mixes of Nana/Snooze have gained praise and plays by a great number of DJs, radio stations and the buzz just keeps growing. And to maintain the buzz, Capture service you the new remixes including 2 new remixes of 'Nana' by Filo & Peri and Dennis Sheperd, along side 2 additional remixes of 'Snooze' from the Swedish talents Bjorn Akesson and Samuel Jason! Dimitri: The original of Nana was one of the tracks that I always consider as great contender to play in the various editions of my radio show. The addictive female vocal keeps coming to my mind and I try to sing a long with it. Snooze was very clever and low profile good for the more prog house sets. Now the new mixes take the originals to the next level for peak time rework. Superb remixes from Filo and Peri who provide a banging pumpy and extra uplifting mix that use the vocal in the best possible way by introducing their own melody and they push the original to the stars and beyond. Bjorn is on the roll at the moment and his excellent take on Snooze totally and utterly transforms the original into a sure player for many djs worldwide. The always-lovely Dennis turns Nana in his own style that is playful progressive trance meets house and one that audience seems to appreciate a lot at the moment. Finally, Samuel take on Snooze is good and the way he guides it to a more prog house direction is admirable as it gives it a melodic optimistic edge. Additional info: www.captured.nu Darren Tate - Tokyo / Vespers [Mondo records] “Mondo godfather and UK mastermind producer Darren Tate kicks 2010 off in fine style with a super hot EP setting up the path to his eagerly awaited third album 'Horizons 03'. Straight on the back foot of his massive rework of the Angelic classic 'It's My Turn' and last year's stunning 'When The Morning Comes', Darren returns to deliver more of that Tate magic with his new two track EP. Kicking off the EP is the beautifully crafted 'Tokyo', a banging peak-time cut that manages to blend eastern culture with Tate's trademark razor sharp production. On the flip you'll find 'Vespers', an equally timeless production that incorporates beautiful chords and stirring emotional melodies as only Darren knows how.” Dimitri: Certainly Darren productions are crafted to their final detail keeping always the best in trance elements. Both cuts are ultra fantastic wicked kind of driving travelling euphoric trance that despite being peak time keep a relaxing soothing quality in them. Thanks so much Darren for travelling our minds, bodies, and soul in Tokyo without even needing to buy an expensive ticket to go there. Tokyo has that “Japanese music culture sample” that makes it instantly different and able to stand out from the rest that you may listen in any online download shop so you will put in your “to buy list” for sure. On the other hand, the mysterious titled Vespers is a driving epic kind of sweet and delicious groovy trance with ethnic vocals and great little melodies that come and go adding that electronic quality that we know on tracks by Jean Michel Jarr or Tangerine Dream. Do Not forget to check Darren’s set at the Luminocity “Before the energy” event in Ultrecht. Additional info: www.mondorecords.com Alucard - Elation [Solaris] “This is Alucard's first solo release on Solaris, and being label boss Solarstone's favourite producer it's not before time! 'Elation' contains all the finely-honed Alucard production nuances which have made him Canada's hottest edm production export over the last couple of years; sweeping builds, layers of beautiful melody and solid, driving rhythms. Dj Eco's remix is a proper big-room thumper with a massive trance production which stays faithful to the musical elements of the original (as the best remixes should). Dimitri: Solaris continues to be on great form this year with another ecstatic super fantastic trance megaton anthem. Alucard, one of the most consistent and always high quality producer is back with a thumping and very sweet release that flows so beautifully and for sure will put us all in a progressive trance state of mind. The unforgettable melodies are present and make you feel that the time spend listening to it was worthwhile. Of course, the superbly crafted original becomes a massive hands up in the air feel good uplifting anthem in the hands of Dj Eco who knows whatever he touches to turn it into gold. Two very different versions that will appeal to different moments of any well-put together dj set. Solaris is becoming one of the biggest and most consistent trance labels. The superb hard working Rich and his team deserves it! Additional info: www.solaris-recordings.com Stoneface & Terminal - Don't Give A F*** [Euphonic] Dimitri: Stoneface and Terminal are very much in request at the moment to remix many releases that are out at the moment and become successful thanks to their ultra banging mix. The guys never rest and after their previous more prog house release St Francis Folley, they are back on Euphonic and as they are always full of pleasant surprises, this time round rather than offering us an uplifting “obvious” trancer, they go deep underground to produce another smash hit. This time they go dirty German electro trance style that is driving, full of teutonic power and admirable intensity and most importantly with a massive euphoric huge melodic riff in the break that supports the track to reach the absolute crescendo when the beat comes back. For sure reminds us that electro trance style that was pioneered by Ferry Corsten before some years. Certainly, a track that will keep daytime radio’s happy and the club djs too. I would prefer though if possible to include an uplifting remix of it as well. Additional info: www.euphonic.de Gerry Cueto – Restart [Captivate] “Gerry Cueto is one half of the duo Relik & Reload, who have had successful releases on George Acosta's label and on his artist album. They have also appeared on Paul Van Dyk's compilation 'Politics of dancing' and Eddie Halliwell's Cream compilation.” Dimitri: Gerry Cueto new track is absolutely essential for any dj who plays progressive trance or tech trance. The bassline is groovy and very electroish while the beat is very bubbly till to reach the massive break. You can expect full on mad synthy affair that will make many to throw their hands in the air and praise all together the dj of the ceremony. George Acosta approach is more minimal and techy that is a nice surprise and maybe there are djs out there who can make good use of it. I would love to get a harder uplifting mix on this package once again as I believe that the main melody can make a big room mix. Additional info: www.fektive.com Glensk - Polish Pierogi [Infrasonic Future] “Polish producer Andre Glensk makes his debut on Infrasonic Future with the stylish electro influenced Polish Pierogi. The guy behind the massive Monday Reflections that was remixed by Activa under his Mekk V guise and heavily supported from the likes of Armin and PVD is back after a short break and with a brand new style to showcase. Remix duties come from up and coming Dutch producer Juventa who picks up the pace with his beautifully written remix for good measure.” Dimitri: For sure Glensk is a very talented artist and this release proves his ability to produce very cool and alternative kind of trance tracks that break boundaries, codes and conventions of any given genre. The original is electro trancer with a strong main electronic riff theme that runs through it and offer it that “Gareth Emery” feel to it. Juventa mix is my favorite as it takes the track in the uplifting field and turn it into a first class secret weapon on any dj hands who wants to drop an uplifting trancer and impress the crowd. Fat stuff that promise a lot for the future and prepare the ground for a Glensk release on the main Infrasonic label. Additional info: www.infrasonicrecordings.com
“Abstraction is back to the promising 2010 with a fresh taster of winter's finest trance. In this release, Ukraine's Norman & Foley bring you an excellent dancefloor banger called "Angel Voices", while a trio of great producers (Renov8's alias Stellar Horizon and Euphorik's Eric Flash and Innovix) top this release with a great track called "By The Seashore". Get this while it's hot!” Dimitri: Abstraction keeps being one of my favorite trance labels because their consistency and loyalty on releasing always quality trance tunes that you feel that are huge productions with a lot of hard work behind them. Angel Voices is the more uplifting on the two included in this sampler. The beat is fast and driving, the melodies are simply mouthwatering and very impressive and the whole production shines and should be adored by any dj of course. By the seashore that is my favorite in the package is that mysterious prog atmospheric cinema like kind of trance that I love to play in my radio shows as its sound texture is so rich with sounds. Both are perfect choice for radio and club use. Additional info: www.abstractionrecords.co.uk DJ Urry Fefelove & Abramasi - New World EP “The rise of solid producer duos keeps going strong. One to keep an eye on in the future is formed by Urry Fefelove and Abramasi, who have joined forces for this EP release which consists of 2 cool tech progressive tracks. Their sound is fresh and imaginative, while it also packs a strong clubby punch for the dance floor. Featured in Anjunabeats Worldwide and Global Sound System with TyDi.” Dimitri: Echelon continues to impress us by releasing groundbreaking kind of trance that is different , adventurous and so unique. New World with its tribalish progressive techy beats will make many djs happy and the public too and will transcend us all straight away in a new different world and place. It has that epic trance trademarks in it particularly in the midway break that includes a lovely crispy guitar melody. At the moment this style gets more popular within the borders of the trance genre and many people requested a lot. Nails on the other hand is techier and sharper and manages to support the whole package well. Certainly worth checking out to discover more about Echelon and its artists and releases headed by the always reliable Tempo Giusto from Finland. Additional info:www.echelonrecords.net Trilucid – Apollo [Neuroscience deep] “Making an overdue return to Neuroscience is the hugely talented Andy Tau, with his new Trilucid alias. Andy certainly needs very little introduction, with recent plays by all of the big names including Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten and Above & Beyond. The 'Apollo' EP features two superb original tracks, with each track showcasing Andy's ever-growing talents.” Additional info: www.neurosciencerecordings.co.uk Aqua & Arctic – iE [Proxoz] “An amazing pack of tech trance to suit all your needs from the 2 new coming talents Aqua & Arctic from Russia. As we all see the Russian producers are becoming the best in the trance scene in the last 2 years so expect to hear another quality release here.” Dimitri: The second release for 2010 for Proxoz is again a very surprising one. Rather than going to the big uplifting direction they turn deeper to more progressive underground low profile release with techy prog trance with electro and house influences. Original and Love Taste are good versions that keep me interested while I listen to them but never excite me as I expect something more. The best one that I find more promising is the tribal tech trance GLY mix. Once again as I noted to other releases following the same path I believe that the strong elements of the original are good foundation for an uplifting version that this package needed to feel completed. Additional info: www.proxoz.com Quadran - Forgive Me [Bonzai Progressive] “French producer Philippe Van Mullem is back once again with his project Quadran, the project that delivered the very first single on Bonzai (Trance) Progressive ever and which set the path to trance music as we know it today. Forgive Me is his newest single topped with remixes by Blufeld and Subtara showing you the progressive trance sound of today.” Dimitri: Quadran is superb project and I’m glad that he is back with a such cool release. The original is very sweet and spicey with an old fashion romantic trance clubby feel to it, strong main melody and once again a heartbreaking vocal that sings about Forgiveness. Of course, the remixes take the track in their own grounds with Blufeld offering that prog electro driving trance by transforming it into a current top alternative for the big trancefloors. Subtara in contrast is going to the deep and epic direction for the kind of sets that the dj plays long tracks and has the courage to wait for them to develop rather than playing a small part of it as many djs do nowadays. Not to be overlooked. Additional info: www.bonzaimusic.com John '00' Fleming - JAWA [Joof] “Joof label boss is back, this time with a refreshing take on Trance. A two part single, one aimed for clubland, while the other will put hairs on your chest! John had an uplifting part of his set missing from his CD wallet/DJ sets, frustrated that he couldn’t find any credible tracks after months of sifting through though thousands of Euro Trance tracks, he decided to make one. ‘JAWA’ was born! I think you’ll agree, it takes you back to those good old days of Trance music, the ones that we all miss.” Additional info: www.joof.co.uk Nervous Testpilot - Wonderful Information [Subtraxx] “The most Finnish-sounding producer in the UK, nervous_testpilot debuts on Subtraxx (yes, that's the correct way to write his artist name). After causing something of a small pandemonium with his cinematic remix of Miika Kuisma's One Step Behind The Mankind, he has been in high demand ever since. Wonderful Information is an uptempo progressive trancer with a chunky bassline which will also suit spinners of more uplifting material. The breakdown introduces us to a twisted vocal hook presenting the vocal abilities of the man himself. Marko Kantola has been on fire lately. His remix of "Life In Streams - Ugly Things In A Pretty World" garnered significant praise on its release and his latest EP "Anywhere / Black City" received support from DJ Mag's #1 Armin Van Buuren himself”. Dimitri: Subtraxx can not go wrong and this release prove the ability of the owners of that label to offer quality stuff to the prog trance community. Marko Kantola mix is the one that stands out for me as he does what he knows best in the deep bassy prog trance style full of beautiful mesmerizing melodies. The break will left many people speechless if they are of course in the right state of mind. The original is very fine and different from anything that you can find in any download shop nowadays. You are invited to discover the trance of the future today through this fantastic release. Additional info: www.bonzaimusic.com Sequentia - Mojito
[Fraction records]1.Danny Loko Remix [Progressive house]
2.Original Mix 3.Sunny Lax Remix 4.Vast Vision Remix 5.Mint Mix [10/10 for all versions] “Sequentia blast into 2010 with a gorgeous slice of uplifting, floor filling trance entitled Mojito. Sunkissed chords and shimmering melodies drive the Original Mix beautifully against the grooving bass and lush atmospherics to provide a real peak time crowd pleaser! Dimitri: Fraction continues its success story in the new decade with another super beautiful trancer by non other than the fantastic Sequentia that never fail to compose unforgettable melodies that will leave you with the best memories when you will listen it to the club or any radio dj set. Original and mint mix are summery ibiza style tunes quite relaxing that will keep people on the trancefloor. Sunny lax pushes all the right buttons and he provides the best mix in the package if you love uplifting melodic uncomplicated straight to the point crowd pleaser trance. Vast Vision mix is very well produced and for the uplifting buddies will be the 2nd best choice. Of course, Danny Loko version is great for the prog housers as he offers a really melodic and epic mix in the uk style prog tradition. It deserves to get attention and become your future favorite. Additional info: www.fraction-records.com Running Man - Fading Memories [Only One records] “ Russian producer Vladimir Kolesnikov returns with an amazing new release in Only One Records. Running Man is the rising star of Russian trance scene. After his highly acclaimed Rockcandy he brings Fading Memories, another masterpiece along with two fantastic remixes in this release. Dimitri: Massive tracks ready to become big on the trancefloors and on the radio shows too. Randry mix is prog trancer with prog house influences and even this mix goes one step further by introducing a big electro kind of riff in the break to give the mix a big room appeal. Original is big melodic uplifting trance in the way that we loved it to be, pure and simple and most importantly uncomplicated. Finally, my favorite mix comes from RedSound that is more bangier in the classic trance style that we are never bored from, with huge break and an amazing build up that will be pretty impossible for your crowd not to jump and shout to it. Michael Delving - Two Words On A Guitar [Only One records Deep] Dimitri: This is such a beautiful release that you cannot stop daydreaming while you listen the superb break of the original that has cinematic quality without any doubts. The rock Guitar sounds great on the break and the piano adds to the whole atmosphere of it. The kind of tracks that will help any dj to add substance and great mystic sound scenery in his dj set. Running Man version goes in a different version, more upbeat with fewer elements taken from the original but with enough drive and passion to keep the set flowing but when it finishes I have that feeling that something is missing from it to become outstanding. Worth to check it out and listen for yourself. Additional info:www.onlyonerecords.com Progressive House Tunez Simon Gain – Blackout [Boom Tsjak/Flashover recordings] “How many potential young DJ’s/producers can say they’ve released tunes with the support from some of the world’s finest such as TiĆ«sto, Ferry Corsten, Axwell, Steve Angello, Mark Knight, edde Le Grand (featured on his Flamingo Compliation), Funkagenda, Chuckie, Dimitri: Boom Tsjak motto can be the label that “ In Progressive House We can Trust” as every release has that big dancefloor appeal and potential and its impossible not to enjoy the dj that will select it to perform with it behind the decks and the crowd that for sure will react to it really positively. Simon builds the original track with so much funk and filth to it that sometimes leaves you speechless and you ask how he can manage to do it so twisted and body shaking. The kind of progressive house tracks that are minimal in their construction but slowly grow inside your head and without even thinking to it you want to tap your foot in its rhythm without being really obvious. The pleasant surprise for the trance heads is the ultra fantastic tech trance mix by Andy who really rocks the boat and turns a house track into a party pumper perfect to keep the juices flowing . Party anthem alert, Boom Tsjak is in the place…. Additional info: www.flashoverrecordings.com Phunk Investigation vs. Paul Ursin & Benny Benew - Tutan [Avanti] “Phunk Investigation keep a steady pace when it comes to their releases and they don't mind a collaboration every now and then. For this brand new single entitled "Tutan", they teamed up with Paul Ursin and Benny Benew and bring an electronic house production on the techno tip. The relentless theme that runs throughout the song creates an irresistible urge to dance and the alarm-like break will most certainly drive everybody nuts. Both the original and the PI Reworked The Mix versions are perfect for packed, dynamic techno sets; the Re-Zone Remix has all the electronic house ingredients for a hot night in the club.”
Additional info:www.blackholerecordings.com Ozgur Ozkan - Wait And Wonder (Nir Mizrahi mix) [JetlagDigital] Dimitri: In our hands we have just this remix as it seems with its performance so far is the biggest on the whole ep as it is rated number 8 on the top 50 hype chart on Releasepromo.com http://releasepromo.com/charts . It has the highest rate of the whole EP which includes the original version + remixes by Shane, Relaunch, Loquai and Nir Mizrahi. C-Jay & Shylock - Watch Closely [ The Sessions Recordings ] “The Sessions Recordings are back with a release by head honcho C-Jay teaming up with his buddy Shylock. (Shylock from The Netherlands that is) Remixes are done by Turkish producer Sezer Uysal and DubVision. DubVision are 2 brothers from Holland, discovered by C-Jay during 2009's Amsterdam Dance Event, who now have their first official remix out: the start of a promising career. This release gets early support from none less than Sasha & Hernan Cattaneo.” Dimitri: Superb prog house track with a lot of drive and intensity and of course great use of the sounds, melodies and the vocal samples. True epic style prog house for me. The real deal in the package are the remixes that rocking with dubdivision digging into the deepest sides of the progressive surfacing with a very thoughtful and constructed version while my favorite mix is Sezer Uysal. This very talented producer offers a very melodic ear catching version perfect for more melodic prog house sets. Overall, the whole package is very strong and caters for the various prog styles that are popular at the moment.
“Amir and his Elegant Universe kick off 2010 with these two fiery little cuts.. if you like your beats dep & techy, with a touch of madness, then you are in for a treat!Thrilya is an explosion of funk fuelled tech house , that is all set for the peaktime crew.. while Tayrona takes things a little deeper & sexier. a massive couple of cuts.” Dimitri: Baroque continues to impress and express the variety in the prog house scene. Here is a very different ep that includes a funky and hard tech house track that you know that will cause a lot of damage. Fat bass and weird noises will make this an absolute favorite no doubt about it. Tayrona is deeper, groovier more melodic very rhythmic and energetic to keep the set flowing and moving as people while they listen to it they will definitely discover different surprising sounds coming and going. Lovely stuff that people should definite check out if they want to perform and impress. Damian DP - Transatlantic 2010 [Method Records] “Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Damian DP previously released 'Transatlantic' on Baroque, as the labels 50th release way back in 2005. Both the original mix & the Andy Moor remix went on to be massive & featured on Paul Van Dyks 'The Politics Of Dancing 2' CD. Now as baroque hits the Big 100, Damian has given the track a total makeover for 2010. Two massive cuts of pounding progressive beats from the man himself..” Dimitri: Another stunning baroque classic is back and it is such a nice idea to update it in a such modern and dynamic way. The original mix is very melodic in that mellow prog house sound that is playful and sounds so summerish to melt all the ice and snow falls if you play it loud in your car or at home while club mix pushes the boundaries more to the electro house territory.
