Jakub Checinski, AKA Jake Chec, works and plays among a sonic playground of microphones, mixers, and other studio toys. J.C.’s sought after ideas as an on-air producer, and skills as sound designer, is what drives the promotional machine of Chin Radio, particularly its musical renegade department, Chin Radio Dance Division - dedicated to Electronica, and all of its sub genres. Involved from its infancy, now acting as Programme Director, Jake oversees many of the operations of this widely listened to broadcast, heard on 100.7fm Toronto. As the programmer, producer, and host, of Chec-Music, featuring global namesakes such as Max Graham, Sasha, Digweed and others, the show is syndicated to over 20 FM carriers around the globe, and numerous internet radio stations.

A Polish import, with musicianship in the family, DNA, he heard his beat playing drums at the age of six, and obtaining an honours degree in Radio Broadcasting at Canadore College. Now based in Toronto, Jake settles for no less than sonic perfection on radio airwaves, big room sound systems and the most discerning studio monitors.

Jakes proficiency on the decks with his mix of progressive and melody driven big room house beats, have taken him on DJ tours across Canada, Italy, Poland and Croatia.

Signed to such labels as Hi-Bias, Lost Language/Hooj Choons, Funktion Recordings, Lickin Germany, and having remixed and peer support by, Three Drives, Peter Presta, Matt Darey, Adam White, Graham Gold, Manuel De La Mare, Myagi, Mikel Curcio, and Anthony Attalla thus far, - Jake is surely establishing himself as a producer to watch, and especially listen for.
