Brian Cheetham has been a driving force in the world of Electronica since he began to DJ two decades ago in his home town of Manchester (UK), playing regularly at legendary clubs such as 'Hacienda' & 'Paradise Factory'. His passion for dance music lead him to a career in radio, working his way up the ladder to become a program coordinator for 'Galaxy FM'. From there he was head hunted to develop the 'Ministry of Sound' radio department. At Ministry he took their output to its peak, mixing and producing Ministry of Sounds FM syndicated radio shows; Which were aired in over 50 countries and went on to win awards and develop the brand dramatically.
After many years of developing radio for these super brands he decided it was time to launch his own project and 'Global Dance Session' (GDS) was born from his studio where he now resides in Brighton, UK.
GDS is now aired in over 30 countries on FM and Digital platforms, with Brian and a special guest every week. Recent guest appearances have included artist such as 'Bart B Moor', 'Stonebridge', 'Darren Emerson', 'Mark Knight', 'Dave Spoon', 'Seamus Haji', 'Ian Carey', 'Krafty Kuts' and 'Mason' to name a few.
Brian's endeavors in music and dance have taken him all over the world, playing the USA, Canada, Russia, Greece, Kazakhstan, Bosnia, Slovenia, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Holland, Spain, Dubai and of course all over the UK. He’s played on several occasions at world famous clubs such as 'Space' (Ibiza), 'Ministry of Sound' (London), 'Sullivan Rooms' & 'Souk' (NYC), 'Anzu' (Rio De Janeiro), 'Fabrique' (Moscow) and 'Nectar' (Mexico). He plays with a technically precise blend of tracks and accapellas using all the effects and tricks at his disposal with showman like flare.
With an enviable yet hard earned presence and activity across the world, the next step for Brian is one towards producing the music himself. His first remix of 'No more Dating Dj's' was signed to 'Full Body Sound System' in North America and he now has several other productions ready for release, His first being the quirky rumbler 'Whoop' with its driving beats, a cheeky lead, layered with entertaining elements and attention grabbing edits. The track has a fun feel with that serious club vibe.
