Re: Alan Banks - The EDM Show
Episode 13 rolls into town on May 5th exclusive to 1mix Radio. special guests on this episode include Irish trance star Paul Webster and new London trance night 'Trance Sanctuary'. Paul Webster the DJ holds two residencies in Ireland at Lektrik & Trancelation as wel as appearing across the globe at many of the worlds famous superclubs. He takes up his regular guest appearences at Judgement Sunday's in Ibiza as well this year and has already scored a very very busy 2011. On the production front Paul first came to prominence in 2006 with 'Corruption' which became a big hit with Paul Van Dyk, Eddie Halliwell, Marco V, John O'Callaghan, Sander Van Doorn and Tiësto. His latest production with fred Baker called 'Chainsaw' is out now. Find out the tracks that are rocking Paul's DJ sets exclusively on the show. Our interview this month comes from a new party. Trance Sanctuary has only had one party and had massive success with it. It seemed only fair to get them on the show to help find out more about the direction they want to take in putting trance back on the map in London... Don't forget if you have a party during May then please mail with all the details to get a mention on the show. Re: Alan Banks - The EDM Show
We reach 15 episodes so now its time to roll out a special episode for you... Electronic Sessions have been educating crowds for over 5 years. Firstly starting out in the clubs such as Corsica Studios, Hidden and Deep Blue before really finding their flow with the now infamous boat parties down the Thames. The music policy crosses many genres spanning the uplifting heights of trance and big room house to the dirty and dark nature of tech and deep house. The boat parties have seen guests from multi genres grace the decks from the likes of Jody Wisternoff, Jon O'Bir, Tom Colontonio, Sied van Reil, Paul Webster, Activa and many others from the varied styles of underground dance music. The boat parties themselves sell out everytime and are the playground for misadventure and general shennanigans all to the underground backdrop of great dance music. The EDM show has teamed up with the 'ES' team to present a special live recording from the party to give you a snapshot of what your missing out on.. The headline act is TYDI, an Australian who is making massive headway on a global scale. Catch his live set from last months party. Oh and you can also catch the set from me when i played on the same party.... should keep you going through July!! This month we welcome a heavy weight of the trance world. Since bursting onto the scene with his winning remix of Sander van Doorn's Punk track its been all the way up for Sean Tyas. His track Lift has become a trance classic in its own right and Sean has put his magic touch to many a remix as well as a string of very successful solo releases. If you have seen him live then you'll know what to expect - we present his Top 3 tracks exclusive to The EDM show. This month's interview comes from a new night. 'Shaken Up' is about to embark on bringing trance back to London. Re: Alan Banks - The EDM Show
[c] A congratulations to David Guetta on winning the Dj mag top 100 and with more new house music entries into the top 10 it seems house is now making a comeback against the dominance of trance. Will it last? who knows. Our first guest this month has much to celebrate as well with his second artist album release not even a month ago. Activa, Solar Movement or Mekk, take your pick, the man has produced some of the modern era of trance's big anthems. His new album ' To The Point' is out now and showcases his rich diverse trance sound from the mellow to the euphoric the the dam right filthy. Activa will be on the show presenting the top 3 tracks that are rocking his world.. Our interview is with London trance party Futurity. Another party that has joined the ranks in starting early on in the day to progress their sound to the early hours of the morning. They will be presenting a 12 hour marathon of trance classics for their next party so are popping along to give us a few more details about themselves. Re: Alan Banks - The EDM Show
20th Show - time for something different. Episode 015 we gave you a live broadcast from the Electronic Sessions boat party with headline DJ Tydi on the decks and also my good self providing a 2 hour show. We venture back to this format for episode 020 this time from the London based party Trance Sanctuary. TS has gotten off to a great start hosting crazy parties attracting the likes of Estiva, Dan Stone, Sly One vs Jurrane, Will Holland, Ferry Tayle and many more. To help celebrate the launch of Jon O'Bir's new album 'Music Database' he has teamed up with TS to host the launch party and we have teamed up with them to broadcast 2 sets from the evening on November 19th. The first comes from Jon himself and you'll be able to hear how Jon works the dancefloor in the first hour of the show. The second hour in typical fashion will be from myself rounding up a great live snapshot from a party regarded as 'the hottest new event 'according to Harderfaster.net.Tune in Live from 6pmJoin the Facebook GroupTwitter About itCatch up and listen again on MixcloudTune in and subscribe on iTunes
